What You’ll Gain
This ADDC course is recognized by the Alzheimer’s Association for incorporating evidence-based dementia care practice recommendations across key areas, including Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, person-centered care, assessment and care planning, activities of daily living, behaviors, and communication.
Participants will leave with practical strategies for creating safe, supportive, and dementia-sensitive environments, effective communication tools that foster empathy and meaningful engagement, and proven techniques to manage dementia-related behaviors with calmness and confidence. This training also provides a clear and comprehensive understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia, along with reliable approaches to delivering compassionate, person-centered care. Participants will gain innovative solutions to handle everyday challenges in dementia care settings and benefit from insight and real-world knowledge shared by a passionate and dynamic facilitator.

Seminar Details
In-person sessions are available from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with registration beginning at 7:30 AM. Sessions can be broken up into 4-hour sessions each or on Saturdays to accommodate your need.
The seminar fee is $200 per person, with a $75 cancellation fee. Each participant will receive a student handbook. Lunch is on your own. Recording is not permitted during the seminar. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance after the seminar.
This seminar is approved for 7 CEUs for nurses, with an additional $49 fee. Attendees have the opportunity to apply for Nursing CEUs after completing the class.
Certification Opportunity
Participants have the opportunity to pursue certification as a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP). This seminar is required for individuals seeking CDP certification who meet NCCDP qualifications.
