Elevating Dementia Care in the Community Through Dementia Education & Outreach
Our dementia education workshops are thoughtfully designed to help participants develop a deeper understanding of dementia and its impact on individuals, caregivers, and families. Through engaging and interactive learning experiences, participants gain valuable insight into the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral changes associated with dementia.
Rooted in the principles of compassion, patience, and person-centered care, these sessions provide practical knowledge and effective strategies that empower attendees to confidently support individuals living with dementia. Participants learn how to foster meaningful connections, enhance quality of life, and create more compassionate care environments for those affected by the disease.
A Personal Mission
Educating communities about dementia is deeply personal to Tamaria. Her grandmother lived with Alzheimer’s disease and possibly vascular dementia. Witnessing her grandmother struggle without receiving the level of care and understanding she deserved left a lasting impact.
Tamaria often reflects on how greater awareness, acceptance of the diagnosis, and proper caregiver education could have resulted in a more supportive and compassionate experience for her grandmother and family. In her grandmother’s honor, she made a commitment to educate others about dementia and its many forms, ensuring that individuals, caregivers, and families are better equipped to provide informed, empathetic, and dignified care.
