Let's Get Moving

Updated: Feb 11, 2022

Is your loved one receiving or participating in activities? If not, WHY???? Activities can have positive benefits for those who suffer from dementia. Here are a few ways:

  1. Activities can aid in minimizing challenging behaviors and allow you to better handle them

  2. Reduce the stress experienced by caregivers

  3. Provide an emotional connection (music, dancing, etc.)

  4. Provide a sense of purpose

  5. Exercise provides physical benefits (reducing constipation etc.)

  6. Can possibly reduce some depression

  7. Bring back memories of previous positions or roles

***Let's make a change and implement some form of activity for those who are suffering from dementia.
