Is your loved one receiving or participating in activities? If not, WHY???? Activities can have positive benefits for those who suffer from dementia. Here are a few ways:
Activities can aid in minimizing challenging behaviors and allow you to better handle them
Reduce the stress experienced by caregivers
Provide an emotional connection (music, dancing, etc.)
Provide a sense of purpose
Exercise provides physical benefits (reducing constipation etc.)
Can possibly reduce some depression
Bring back memories of previous positions or roles
***Let's make a change and implement some form of activity for those who are suffering from dementia.
