Monday Encouragement

Hello Caregivers...

How did you begin your day? Did you get out of bed, dress, and began your caregiving duties? Did you hit the ground running? What did you do?

Every morning, I wake up and begin to thank God for waking me up and for other things. After thanking him, I ask him to help me on today, order my steps, give me what to say, how to say it, and I give him my plans for the day. Afterwards, I let him know that whatever his plans are for me, I will do. Last, God give me wisdom on how to address various behaviors that my loved one may exhibit. You may not understand the reasoning behind the behavior, but God can give you the wisdom on how to address it. Ask him.

We have to begin our day on a positive note. Your words have power. If you say, "Here we go again," or "This is going to be another crazy day," then so be it. You spoke it out of your mouth. Expect to have a problematic day. Instead, what do you think about beginning your day with positive words. Here are a few examples:

  • This is a great day

  • Mom or dad is going to have a good day on today

  • Things are better today than they were on yesterday

  • "I can do all things through Christ that strengtheneth me" (Philippians4:13)

  • Think Positive

Be encouraged and this will be a great day.
